3 Mistakes To Avoid When Opening Your Gym

Opening your own gym is exciting. After doing 12 gym openings, here’s 3 mistakes I wish I avoided along the way.

1. Investing too much in the fanciest new gym equipment. Gym equipment doesn’t sell personal training memberships.

2. Not knowing your local ordinances. Each down is different on parking lots, bathroom requirements and more. It’s popular to grab an industrial building and open a gym in there….it doesn’t always work.

3. Buying gym equipment with you in mind. You need to buy the equipment that your target MEMBERS will use. I hope that helps you out and avoid a few of the pitfalls of opening your own gym.
