3 Tips To Make Your Gym Stand Out

Joey Szatmary from Lion’s Den Elite Training in Pennsylvania is a force to be reckoned with in the gym business community.

Joey has done an excellent job coming from a body building background and transitioning his knowledge into training everyone to be strong.

Joey has created strong bodies, strong minds, and a strong gym.

Prior to the successful gym that he has today, Joey experienced the ups and downs of failed business ventures in the past.

He’s learned a lot over his business and entrepreneurial journey and has taken away 3 big picture tips to create a unique and successful gym.

1.) Start Small

Don’t bite off more than you can chew…

You might be feeling super ambitious and want to create a fitness empire.

If you’re new to the scene, there may be many unforeseen challenges you will meet along the way.

In Joey’s first gym business venture, he was faced with building structural issues before even opening up his facility.

Never did he predict that this issue would arise.

Starting too big and investing large amounts of money can leave you astray when unforeseen challenges arise.

Have enough financial backing to fall back on.

Start small and allow yourself to grow.

2.) Have A Clear Target Customer

Specialize in delivering a clear product to a specific market.

If your focus is strength and conditioning in a personalized fitness environment, it wouldn’t make sense to take on a client interested in crossfit.

Be honest and stay true to the services that you deliver.

You will then be able to find your target market and demographic

3.) Create Your Online Presence

Social media can lead to numerous possibilities.

Having a strong online presence will allow you to reach new members and engage with your community.

More recently, having an online presence has allowed us to continue to deliver fitness services during COVID.

We discuss these tips in depth in Episode 18 of the Level Up Your Gym Podcast, “3 Tips To Make Your Gym Stand Out – A Conversation with Joey Szatmary “.
