How To Rebuild Your Gym Through A Pandemic

The pandemic has impacted the fitness industry in ways we could have never imagined.

From my experience working through the shut downs, regulations, capacity restrictions, etc, I have found 3 ways to manage your gym through COVID to set yourself up for success now and in the future.

1.) Communication to Members

Work on a no drama, clear communication strategy to your members.

What this means is not taking a hard stance or getting too emotional about the different regulations that may be thrown at you.

Yes, you can be upset and have an opinion.

But don’t complain to your members.

Provide clear communication to your members on how you can still provide your resources to them.

2.) Special Offerings

In these unprecedented times you will need to react quickly to provide a solution.

Some offering to consider during this time, and into the future are…

… in person sessions (following guidelines).

… outside in person sessions (following guidelines).

… online workout offering (live workouts or provide a schedule of workouts).

… hybrid option of both in person and online.

Allow flexible options for your members to meet them at their comfortability.

3.) Marketing Strategy

Its extra tough right now to get a cold lead to sign up for your gym.

Focus more on reactivitions.

Follow up with past members, get to know why they left, and provide a solution to bring them back into your facility.

Also focus on your current members.

Pitch to some of your members an offer to upgrade their services.

Both past and current members understand that you are a trustworthy and safe business.

Place an additional focus on referrals.
